Brankas is building the next generation of Open APIs and infrastructure for banks, insurance, and other financial institutions across Southeast Asia. Our API-based technology supports real-time disbursements, customer payments by bank transfer, reconciliation, and account statement retrieval for online lenders.
We provide cutting-edge consumer and enterprise focused financial management software and systems. Brankas’ backend service-oriented architecture is entirely written in Go, and deployed on cloud-based systems (GCP, AWS, Azure), making heavy use of third-party systems and APIs.
About the Position
Brankas is looking for a Legal Regulatory and Government Relations, the position will cover the following:
- Structure, draft, negotiate and/or review legal contracts, letters of agreements, and other documents related to commercial, financial, and operational matters
- Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders on all legal issues
- Identify, evaluate, and address issues of legal risks
- Monitor regulatory updates that may affect the company
- Actively working and maintain relationship with local regulatory body
- Build, maintain, and nurture relationships with regulators and industry associations
- Design and execute regulatory advocacy strategy
Qualifications

Proficient in English

Have at least a bachelor’s degree in law

Have at least 3 - 5 years of working experience with similar responsibilities

Have experience in the financial industry or financial technology will be an advantage.

Highly-analytical with strong attention to details;

Have a knowledge about data privacy and data protection

Have an experience with OSS or any other government tools related to legal;

Deep understanding about Indonesia law especially related to Banking, Financial Industry, Financial Technology, Labor and any applicable laws.

Ability to provide regulatory recommendations;

Ability to take initiative and work independently;

Have strong oral and written communication skills; good at building and maintaining relationships with others

Comfortable in a start-up environment, have a strong desire to grow your skills and responsibilities, as well as work collaboratively in a tight knit, cross-functional team
